3D Printing Curriculum 

This challenge is organized by Acorn Labs and Women In 3D Printing Next Gen to honor and recognize teachers who have created an impactful 3D Design and Printing Curriculum. Educators who win this challenge will receive a prize. 

Along with honoring teachers who currently use this technology in their classrooms, Acorn and Wi3DP are also committed to helping educators who are just beginning their journey in space of 3D Printing and Design. Hence, the winning curricula will be added to a repository and made accessible to more teachers. 

How to Qualify

  • Must identify as female or non-binary 

  • Must a school teacher or an educator at makerspace

  • Teaching 3D printing and design for more than 1+ years

  • Must submit a copy of your curriculum

  • The curriculum must be catered to high school students (9th - 12th grade) 

  • Must agree to share my curriculum online on a website owned by Acorn and Wi3DP

What we are looking for

  • Tested curriculum which have encouraged students to pursue STEM degrees/jobs after high-school

  • Flexibility in the curriculum to be utilized at schools with and without access to 3D printers

  • Focuses on design and manufacturing principles

  • Teaches both the students and the teachers on the workings of 3D printers

  • Acorn and Wi3DP want to recognize teachers who are paving the path for future STEM Leaders

  • We want to encourage more students to pursue a career in STEM by removing the barriers curriculum vetting and definition barriers for teachers
