Audio Production Engineer

Location: Remote

Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Deliver high quality podcasts through audio editing for continuity, content integrity, style, consistency, and structure;

  • Oversee recording sessions and provide technical support on audio prior to recording;

  • Lead the production team in developing content and maintaining consistent strategy across all Acorn platforms;

  • Provide guidance, support, and best practices on remote audio recording, editing software, and other recording needs;

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator and production team in marketing EduPod.



  • Have access to software and equipment to produce audio track;

  • Experience in editing and mixing skills, and strong understanding of audio tools, technologies, and standards;

  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills;

  • Strong editorial judgement, attention to detail, and ability to deliver a polished final product;

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills;

  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

  • Commitment to helping teacher’s gain access to STEM tools and providing them with a community of peers, mentors, and funders;

  • Commitment to empowering teachers and school administrators by elevating their voices and bringing to attention their efforts to support students and advance the education sector;

  • Enthusiasm to learn and grow.
